The initiative combines farmer-managed natural regeneration with community nurseries and dry-season gardening, and will be delivered through the university’s field programmes rather than as a standalone project.
That choice is deliberate. Work carried by the student placements continues for as long as the placements do, which is considerably longer than a typical project cycle.
